Well Done to Corinthia Palace Malta

Written by Paul Rollason
Hello Paul,   Thank you for the Christmas Card.   As regards to our stay at the Corinthia Palace Hotel it was without doubt fantastic. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. It really was luxury. However I will go further that that.   My wife and I stayed at the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Sp. to celebrate this year our 50th wedding anniversary. Viewing before hand we were much taken with  the plush restaurant the hotel had to offer. On arriving we made sure we booked a table for the 22nd October. Only to be told that the whole…

Hvar Beaches

Written by Paul Rollason
The Rock/shingle beaches located all along the coast to the west of the harbour, the best beaches are located on the Pakleni Islands a 15 minute crossing by Water taxi. The most popular beaches are Palmizana and our favourite Mlini Beach Located in the main harbour on Riva Quayside, water taxis departing every 10 minutes to the outlying beaches and islands. The taxis return to the islands to collect their passengers between 4pm-6pm. We suggest you visit Bakery Mlinar just where the taxis depart and buy delicious pizza slices, pastries etc for a picnic lunch

Island of Hvar, Croatia 2

Written by Paul Rollason
The Amfora Hvar Grand Beach Resort is ideally located in Hvar as we have found out today. The entrance and reception for the hotel are on the 7th floor, however the easiest walk into town is along the seafront promenade which is accessible from the pool area. This promenade walk takes you all the way through Hvarr with the Mediterrean lapping just metres away passing the fishing boats, luxury yachts and water taxis. We wandered around the old town, it is really old, mostly built by the Venitians, plenty of steps and intriging back streets. The centre of Hvar is…
