Client Comments

James and myself had a fantastic time on holiday and came back completely refreshed (albeit a little jetlagged with the 4 hour time difference) and with very nice tans.

The hotel is absolutely stunning with amazing pools, fantastic sunset views, a lovely quiet beach with great bar area and all that made it a very relaxing experience.

It was rather funny we were the only English speaking tourists in the resort, all others were...German.

Our room was lovely and big, very comfortable bed and separate lounge area, as you know we paid for a Premium room with Sea View. We arrived to hotel just before 23pm on our first night so were not able to assess the view from our balcony until next morning. I was slightly disappointed that the sea view was obstructed although we did see the sea on the sides of balcony at a distance. As we had already unpacked most of our luggage we decided to stay and not make a fuss about it with the hotel reception.

In terms of food and drinks, the Basilico restaurant was outstanding. The all day dining option Cinnamon was very good too with daily special sections of different foods to try out. The only negative I would say is that due to the 95% of tourists being German a lot of the menu was very Germanic (e.g. sauerkraut, German sausage..) which was not a preference. As all inclusive holidays go typically you get very cheap alcohol and wine but I must say I was very impressed with the quality of white wine served. The Breakers bar by the beach was great for day-time snacks. All inclusive drinks were to be enjoyed from 11am-23pm which was quite nice and there was a decent selection of cocktails.

I would rate service in the hotel in general as average - we had to call room service daily to get them to bring items which they had missed to replenish during the daily room clean, we had to call to re-stock minibar.

The hotel did give us a complimentary birthday cake for James' birthday which was delicious however it took me chasing quite a bit to get them to deliver at requested time so I could keep it a surprise.

Wi-Fi in hotel is only available in the bar/restaurant areas and not in the rooms which I don't recall reading on the hotel site prior to booking.

We were keen to use the hotel sport or travel operator to arrange a day / afternoon outing, and spoke to a representative by the beach. We were interested in doing the sunset cruise which was advertised however staff did not seem very interested in selling and claimed that they would need to speak to the captain of the boat with at least 48 hours notice to see if captain would take the boat out before being able to confirm a place. The claim was the weather to be too cold and windy. I can tell you there was a breeze but the weather was absolutely lovely (each day we had between 25 and 28 degrees). As a result we did not pursue it further.

As the hotel claimed to be rated 5 stars and with Luxury Awards won, overall I was expecting more given the price paid for this holiday. I compare it also to a 5 star hotel in Egypt I have been to 3x now at less than half the price. Having said all the above we did have a great time but I would not look to go back to this hotel in future.

Kind regards,
