Turquoise Coast (Dalaman Region, Turkey)

Dramatic history, unspoilt beaches and thoroughly modern luxury blend beautifully along the rugged coastline of the turquoise Mediterranean. You will be familiar we many of the white sandy beaches and crystal clear seas of this coastline from the photographs used by the Turkish Tourist Office in their promotional campaigns. From bustling quayside restaurants to ancient Lycian tombs, cut into the hillsides, there's probably nowhere this close to home offering such an intoxicating blend of cultures and civilisations. Whether you're choosing the catch of the day in a waterfront restaurant or strolling through shady pine forests, in the hamlet-speckled hills sweeping up from the coast, you'll enjoy legendary Turkish hospitality wherever you go. But it's the fine beaches which will truly seduce you, with their sparklingly clear waters made just for a cooling dip or a gentle snorkel. Wherever you go, make time to watch the world go by over a glass of sweet apple tea, be it in the little port of Göcek or in Ölü Deniz, near the picture-perfect Blue Lagoon. Turkey combines 21st century luxury with beautiful glimpses of the past.
