Island of Cozumel, Mexico
The island of Cozumel lies 12 miles off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula and 35 miles south of Cancun, Mexico. The islands is 30 miles x 9 miles covered with dense vegetation and surrounded by sandy beaches and coral reefs. Since the 1970's the island has been developed for tourism with many fine hotels.
