Facilities There are 3 swimming pools: 2 are seawater swimming pools - including 1 heated at 76/84ºF, and 1 is freshwater heated.
One of the pools is located at the sea level platform (with direct access to the ocean) and two others are by the Pool Terrace.

The Dining Room

The Dining Room is the turn of the century restaurant where guests may choose between our table d’hôte and à la carte menus in grand Edwardian style ambience.
Every Saturday, enjoy an evening of elegant dining and dancing with Reid’s Dinner Dance, which takes place in the Dining Room.
And on Tuesdays there is a Champagne Gala Buffet - a sparkling feast served with champagne at your discretion.
Opening time: Daily from 19:00 to 21:30.
Recommended dress code: Jacket and tie.

Les Faunes

At Les Faunes (seasonal) you can sample the specialities of French Creative Cuisine with spectacular night-time views over Funchal bay and harbour.
Open during the winter time from October to May.
Opening time: Tuesday to Sunday from 19:30 to 22:00 
Recommended Dress Code: Jacket.

Ristorante Villa Cipriani

Ristorante Villa Cipriani is our informal Italian restaurant where you can enjoy the best of Italian cuisine in a relaxing atmosphere with wonderful sea views from the cliff top.

Brisa do Mar

Brisa do Mar (seasonal) is open during the summer time from June to September.
In this al fresco restaurant you can savour French Creative Cuisine under the stars.
Opening time: Tuesday to Sunday from 19:30 to 22:00.
Recommended dress code: Smart casual.

Pool Terrace

At the Pool Restaurant you can enjoy an extensive hot and cold buffet with the daily special served between 12:00 and 14:30.
Light snacks and drinks are available all day long - from 10:00 to 19:00 (20:00 in the Summer months.)

The Garden Room

The Garden Room restaurant, overlooking the pool and the sea, is the place for buffet breakfast, with fresh juices and champagne included.

Superior Double and Twin Rooms
Most of our Superior rooms are located in the Garden Wing, with some also in the Main Building. All Superior Rooms in the Main Building are decorated with light and fresh fabrics to harmonise with the original Anglo-Portuguese furnishings. The interior colours are a reflection of the sparkling views of the Atlantic Ocean from the hotel's French windows and complement the original carved wood antiques.
On the second and third floor of the Garden Wing you will find our Superior rooms are very different to the other rooms, here the accent is on a light and stylish feel, with pale woods and colour co-ordinated contemporary fabrics and carpets.
The rooms measure on average 30m².

Premier rooms are located in the Garden Wing and some in the Main Building. All Premier rooms in the Main Building are decorated in the same light and fresh fabrics as the Superior Rooms. Slightly larger than the Superior Double Rooms with a better view over the gardens to the sea.

The first floor rooms in the Garden Wing are larger with spacious terraces and direct garden access. The charming view from these rooms is of sunlight reflecting off the turquoise waters of the bay of Funchal at the end of our gardens.

Some of the rooms located on the Main Building ground floor also offer medium covered terrace and direct access to the palm garden.

Junior Suites are located in the Main Building and in the Garden wing.  Elegantly furnished and decorated with light and fresh fabrics, they offer comfortable seating and a spacious bedroom over an area of 35 to 40 m².  The luxurious well-appointed bathrooms are decorated with Portuguese tiles. 
The large balconies provide an exceptional sea view.

Superior Suites

are located in the Main Building and in the Garden Wing, offering large balconies with breathtaking views over the gardens and/or the Bay of Funchal. 
The separate living area and bedroom (except suite 428 shown above) are organised over a generous 40 to 45 m² and decorated with light and airy fabrics.  The bedrooms are king or twin bedded and the sitting room has a writing desk and a comfortable chair and sofa.

Executive Suites

Located in the Main Building, these attractive and spacious suites offer two rooms, with a large bedroom and a large living room. In addition there is a kitchenette for your private comfort and convenience. 
Two suites are uniquely situated in a very quiet, secluded location within the hotel including a private entrance.  From these suites you can enjoy the magnificent views over the gardens to the Atlantic ocean.
The remaining suite has been beautifully decorated with light and fresh fabrics to harmonise with the original Anglo-Portuguese furnishings.  Offering a spacious and luxurious bathroom decorated with Portuguese tiles and superb sea view through the garden which you can enjoy from the large balcony.
Located in the main building, these suites measure approximately 50 to 55 square metres.

Presidential Suites: the Churchill Suite and the George Bernard Shaw Suite, both named after the great men who stayed in them.
Located in the Main Building, both of these two beautiful suites, renovated with light and fresh fabrics and Chinese hand-painted wallpapers with wild silk curtains, offer one spacious bedroom, with its large bathroom, and a very large sitting room.  
The beautiful and generously sized bathroom is exquisitely finished and decorated with Portuguese tiles.  In addition, the suites have a separate toilet, a kitchenette for your private comfort and convenience, and caricatures of Winston Churchill and George Bernard Shaw.  The high ceiling retains their original features. 
These suites measure approximately 80 m².
The very large covered balconies offer superb views through the gardens to the glistening sea on the horizon.
