Restaurants and Bars

There are three restaurants - La Terrasse has buffet breakfasts and Madeiran and Portuguese dishes for lunch and dinner, and the Vicerei Grill serves à la carte dishes. International cuisine is available in the Cristovão Colombo dining room, and the pool side Gazebo Bar serves snacks on the terraces surrounding the heated outdoor pool. The colonial-style lobby bar is enlivened by music most evenings; theme evenings, folklore shows and wine tastings are on offer regularly. The hotel has a small arcade of shops and a hairdressing salon. In the neighbourhood are several bars and a variety of popular restaurants. Funchal centre is some 4 km away to the east, so the courtesy bus comes in handy.
