Chromata Santorini a small boutique hotel overlooking the spectacular Caldera of Santorini. It is the highest point of the rim (300 metres) and from it you get a clear picture of the enormity of the semi-submerged giant volcano that had such a devastating effect on the ancient civilisations of the eastern Mediterranean. Settled on the cliff within the picturesque village is the Chromata. The hotel comprises of 22 rooms and suites ranging in size, all very stylish and lavishly furnished, air-conditioned, each with its own private veranda with a view of the Caldera and the small (dormant) volcano at its centre. Chromata is a little masterpiece of design that exploits its clifftop perch with one of the most dramatic infinity edge pools you will ever see. Beside the pool is a bar and a restaurant serving contemporary Mediterranean cuisine. The village tavernas, boutiques, souvenir shops and sightseeing are pleasantly walkable.
