Situated on the coast on the road south from Puerto de La Estaca past one of the best beaches ( this is a relative term) on the island at a hamlet called Timijiraque then the road goes through a tunnnel, notice the rocky outlet rising from the sea called Roque de Bonanza, many sailors did not. The road then ends at the Parador which is in a where the mountains meet the sea, The Parador is the Island's Premier Hotel it is decorated in Spanish Colonial Style and offers comfortable rooms a Canarian Garden full of local plants, palms and dragon trees. The restaurant specialises in the the best of Canarian cuissine. There is a good walk from the hotel, but beware the old road has colapsed in part and you do so at your own risk.
