Lanzarote
A film-maker's dream, Lanzarote has a unique volcanic landscape of cone-shaped mountains and oddly sculpted rocks in the island's Timanfaya Park which extends over 20% of the island. Lanzarote is a far smaller and less commercialised island compared to her larger neighbours Gran Canaria and Tenerife. We prefer the low key resorts of Playa Blanca, on the south coast facing Fuerteventura, and Costa Teguise on the North East coast and the newly developed Puerto Calero. Both resorts have good quality four and five star hotels, good sandy beaches and a varied selection of tapas bars, restaurants and bars. .
Costa Teguise:
The coastal area of the province of the ancient capital Teguise. Although a mostly rocky coastline there are some sandy beaches the best of which is Las Cucharas beach which is at the heart of Costa Teguise. The resort has built up around the beach and although there is a good selection of shops and restaurants the resort is still not too large. We Recommend Hotel Teguise Playa.
Playa Blanca:
At the southernmost point of the island and facing across the straights to the islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura. The port of Playa Blanca is central in the village and is where the regular ferry crossings to Fuerteventura set off from. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in this area. A 20 minute walk along the seafront promenade leads to the new Marina Rubicon, a stunning development of chic cafe and restaurants overlooking the opulent yachts moored up there. We Recommend Hotel Volcan.
Puerto Calero:
Puerto Calero is a new marina development and is now a well establised chic resort with quality hotels, boutiques and cafes
Hotels in Lanzarote:

Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort benefits from stunning views over Playa Blanca, excellent facilities and a perfect location that's just a short stroll from countless restaurants and shops.
H10 Timanfaya Palace is set in an equally enviable spot in Playa Blanca and offers a huge range of activities for parents and children alike.
